During that period, he thinks of Marion, and she is summoned to testify, but she gives such testimony that Jack is sentenced to prison. Six months pass, and Jack has gained his liberty. He meets Marion and her fiancé, Lieut. Jones, U.S.A., on the street. She refuses to speak to him, and despondent, he enlists in the army. At the post, he is recognized by Jones, who subjects him to all kinds of indignities. One day, Marion and her mother arrive at the barracks for a visit, and the next day, Jones and Marion go for a picnic, taking Jack along in the capacity of a servant. Jack sees Indians and rushes back to warn the other two of their danger. Jones' yellow streak then comes to the surface, and he is about to desert Marion, but for Jack, who forces him to assist her. They ride furiously away, followed by the Indians. Arriving at the barracks, the colonel of the regiment, is told of Lieut. Jones' cowardice, and in his rage, strips the epaulets from him and orders him to his quarters. He then calls Jack and congratulates him. Marion recognizes him and asks his forgiveness, but love and trust once lost, never return, and Jack, giving a formal salute, goes his own way, leaving Marion to go hers.
- On a Sunday evening in June, 1991, Teresa Fargason, says she took her 6-year old daughter, to a grocery store in Macon, Georgia. According to Teresa, a few minutes later, she realized that Taylor was missing and she began searching the store. With no sign of her daughter, Teresa became frantic and asked an employee for help. The police were called in and, about an hour later... Taylor was found dead by the side of a road in a rural area about 6 miles away from the store. The investigation dragged on and, over a year later, the police announced that, finally, they had a suspect... Teresa Fargason. When it was all over, Teresa was found guilty of murdering her own daughter and she was sentenced to life in prison. To this day, Fargason insists that she's innocent and is the victim of a police department coverup meant to protect one of their own -- a former Macon cop -- who Fargason says is the real killer. If Teresa's claims are true, then an innocent woman is behind bars and a child killer is out walking the streets.

Remarkably, following its broadcast, this documentary was instrumental in helping two of the individuals prove their innocence and win their release from prison.

- Mrs. Simpkins, a pretty young matron, is on her way home from a shopping tour late one afternoon when she is accosted by a gallant dude, who endeavors to attract her attention. After some endeavor to pass the masher, Miss Simpkins gives him a violent shove into a snowbank and hurries on. Not fazed by this, the masher brushes himself and hurries after her. When she arrives home she finds the maid washing the front windows and calling her from her work, hurries into the house with her. They lock the doors, but the persistent masher climbs in through the window. Mrs. Simpkins and the maid, panic stricken, run out of the house and seeing the plumber coming toward them, beckon for him to hurry. They tell him about the impudent intruder and he volunteers to put him out and leads the way into the house. The masher, however, hears them coming and hides in a closet. The plumber, followed by Mrs. Simpkins and the frightened maid, looks around but the masher is not in sight. He volunteers to stay around, however, to protect the ladies should the annoying fellow return. They leave the room and the plumber helps himself to a cigar and waits. A moment later in comes Mr. Simpkins, a traveling man, who has just returned from an extensive trip. The plumber mistakes the little man for the masher and finally, after many attempts to get him out of the house, throws him out of the window into a snowbank. Mr. Simpkins tries new tactics. He sees two expressmen unloading his trunk and bribing them to help him, he gets into the trunk and is carried inside, but when the trunk lid begins to rise, the plumber who is watching it jumps on it, slams down the lid and rolls it down the back steps. Mr. Simpkins, now in a rage, borrows the expressman's overcoat and hat and enters the house again. He is about to be thrown out of the window again when Mrs. Simpkins enters and recognizes her husband. The masher, concealed in the closet, now tries to make his escape, but the husky plumber overpowers him and he is thrown out of the window into the snow. Mrs. Simpkins and her little hubby are immediately reconciled, while the plumber, after offering profuse apologies, chucks the maid under the chin, and exits.

Wrongfully convicted, he laments his new reality as he accepts his fate.

- In June, 1891, two men toil through the desert toward Guadaloop, a town on the edge of the desert. Jack, the younger, is a desert prospector, while Ben Bostwick is considered the derelict of the town. "The Silver Top" Saloon is the social and business center of Guadaloop and is owned by Larry Malone, boss of the whole town. "Chip" Stevens is a pal of Larry. The stage drives in, and while the driver is getting a drink at the bar, he tells of the money he is carrying, but boasts of the five thousand dollars he is to bring in for the Banner Mine in the coming week. Chip is pleased by this news. Alice Malone comes to the saloon to see Larry, her father, just after he has received a letter from a friend, warning him to elect a sheriff in the town or the U.S. marshals will take charge of it themselves and will make it unpleasant for the inhabitants. When Jack and Ben arrive in the saloon, Chip proposes to Larry that Ben be elected as sheriff for he would be absolutely harmless. And as usual the bosses win and their candidate gets in office. Ben displays his star and revolvers with great pomposity. He never realizes that the men are making fun of him. When Jack starts out again toward the desert, Ben can't be persuaded to accompany him. Alice has promised to become Jack's wife as soon as he makes his strike, and is impatient for his return. Chip and two pals arrange to hold up the stage to get the five thousand dollars. Jack happens to be passing over a ridge and sees their preparations, and being suspicious, rides toward them. The stage is pursued, two of the outlaws are shot and then Chip climbs up on the back of the stage, fires at the driver and is just searching for the bag of money, when Jack climbs onto the coach. They fight, and soon both roll off the stage, while the horses dash away without a driver. Chip regains consciousness, and seeing Jack, removes the mask from his own face and puts it on Jack. He then takes the gold and he rides away, meeting one of his pals. The stage arrives in Guadaloop and Ben immediately sets out to catch the bandits. He finds Jack lying in the road with the mask on, and though grief-stricken, forces him to go with him to the town where he places him in the jail. When Alice is told the story, she passes a bar through the jail window, with which he pries up the bars of the window and escapes. He rides quickly to the case and catches Chip just as he is leaving with the gold. Ben and Alice follow Jack and meet him on the road as he is bringing Chip to town. They tell the people that it was just a joke, a preparation to get the real outlaw. Ben rides on with Chip, while Jack and Alice loiter on the way.

Later the Ranger with Tonto, head for town to keep an eye on the jail and interview Meredith. The Ranger speaks to the sheriff who brushes off his concerns. As night falls the town's folk begin organizing the lynching. Again the Ranger steps in and talks them out of it. Meanwhile Ted Latham confronts his father, without the lynching, there's a chance Ted's involvement will be revealed. His father sends him out of town for a week as cover. The Ranger follows Ted, explaining he'd heard the conversation with Ted's father. This forces Ted to confess the murder. Arriving back in town, Ted complains that the Ranger attacked him and was forced to give a false confession. Unsure of the situation, the sheriff arrests Ted. Finally Meredith is cleared by the sheriff when he discovers the bullets in the judge's body match Ted's and not Meredith's gun.
